Problem Statement
Many people struggle to find the time to purchase and deliver flowers to loved ones on special occasions, such as birthdays and anniversaries. Traditional flower delivery options often have limited customization and do not allow for specific delivery dates and times.
Goal
The goal of the personalized flower delivery application is to provide a convenient and customizable solution for users to send flowers to their loved ones on special occasions.
User Research
For the flower catalogue application, I conducted both qualitative and quantitative user research to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs and preferences of potential users.
For the quantitative research, I conducted a survey with 5 participants to gather statistical data on user attitudes and behaviors.
Digital Wireframes
These digital wireframes showcase the user flow and features of the flower catalog app, including browsing through the catalog, searching for specific flowers, and adding items to the cart. These wireframes provide a clear understanding of the app's layout and functionality and serve as the foundation for its final design and development.
Usability Study: Findings
Conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
First Round
Order Button
Two buttons on the order page are overwhelming for most users
Order Tracking
The functionality of the profile and menu options is unclear to most users
Event Options
The fact that the event they want is not in the options is overwhelming for the users
Second Round
Event Options
The fact that the event they want is not in the options is overwhelming for the users

Takeaways
While designing the flower catalogue app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
