Nextep Application Website

In this project, I designed an optimal web page for the Nextep application, a step counter app aimed at supporting verified borehole projects in Africa. Our goal was to create a user-friendly and engaging website that effectively communicates the app's mission and encourages user participation.

My Role and Responsibilities

Research and Discovery

  • Conducted market research to understand the competitive landscape.

  • Interviewed potential users to gather insights into their needs and expectations.

Ideation and Prototyping

  • Created low-fidelity wireframes to brainstorm and visualize ideas.

  • Developed high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder review.

Collaborating

  • Working with developers and stakeholders to implement the design.

Design System

For the Nextep project, I developed a design system that included:

  • Color Palette: A set of colors that aligns with the brand's identity and mission.

  • Typography: Font choices for headings, body text, and UI elements to ensure readability and accessibility.

  • Components: Reusable components like buttons, forms, and navigation bars for consistency.

  • Icons: A set of custom icons to represent various functionalities and actions.

Conclusion

The project not only allowed me to apply my design skills but also to contribute to a cause that supports sustainable development in Africa. By focusing on user-friendly navigation and clear communication, we were able to create a site that effectively engages users and promotes the app's mission.

I've included a limited selection of visuals here to showcase the key aspects of the design. Feel free to explore site by clicking the button below.
